Summer Prospect Camp

The Seton Hill University Baseball Prospect Camp is open to 2026 & 2027 high school graduates and recommended for the high school player who desires instruction in the areas of hitting, pitching, infield/outfield play, catching and baserunning. The Prospect

Camp is intended to expose high school players to training techniques used at the collegiate and professional levels, and will include Rapsodo evaluations for all participants. Enrollment will be capped at 50 players with limits for each position.


Location: SHU Baseball Complex

Evaluation/Instruction Details: Instruction for position players will include fundamental hitting mechanics & approaches, position specific defensive fundamentals and baserunning. Instruction for pitchers will include proper warm-up routines and arm care, conditioning techniques, and in-depth mechanics of the pitching delivery. All Rapsodo data will be available at the camp for hitters and pitchers.

Instructional Staff & Evaluators: Marc Marizzaldi (Head Coach, SHU), Clay Martin (Asst. Coach, SHU), Vinny Rauso (Asst Coach, SHU), Mike Draghi (Head Coach, Westmoreland CC), Parker Lynn (Asst Coach, St. Vincent College), Mike Zito (Asst Coach, Chatham), Josh Crummer (Asst coach, Washington & Jefferson), other local college head & assistant coaches to be announced.

Tentative Itinerary:

  • 9:30-10:00 Player check-in
  • 10:00-10:20 Introductions /dynamic warm-up
  • 10:20-10:40 30/60 yard dashes
  • 10:40-11:05 OF/C evaluations – IF/P instruction
  • 11:05-11:30 IF evaluations – OF/C/P instruction
  • 11:30-12:00 Offensive evaluations
  • 12:00-1:30 Simulated game
  • 1:30-2:00 Recruiting summary / Campus tours
